No, his mother was a lovely refined lady called Margaret and his father was a dental surgeon, they I believe were divorced. Margaret last lived at Yelverton Devon under the name Margaret Lestrange West

Thank you for your reply. His parents were good friends of my late parents years ago and we knew Margaret as Mollie. They were my god parents and my brother Nick who was born in December 1969 was named after Nicholas. When my parents who had lived just outside of Yelverton moved up to Kent, they lost touch.

I knew Nick but my conundrum was that I didn’t know his body had been repatriated to Uk, until I tried to pay my respects in Malaya. I can only assume his brother organised that ( I believe he was farming in the devon area when last I spoke with Margaret). I would dearly love to know the answer.
