Good morning,
I knew Paul from when his dad had the local butchers shop in Heswall on The Wirral. I remember him joining the Coldstream Guards, but the reason I am posting this is that there seems to be a digit missing from his regimental number on the entry above. My number started 2393 and I enlisted at about the same time so perhaps it could be a 9 or a 3.

I was at school and scouts with Paul. We were very close. I attended his passing- out ceremony at Knightsbridge Barracks sometime in the mid to late ‘60’s. Never met Neil though I believe he attended Caldy Grange Grammer but knew Derek from our school days. My mother thought Derek a role model as he ironed his our shirts I believe he joined the merchant navy though can’t be sure. If you could put me in touch with him it would be wonderful. You can find me on Google or email gm@grenvillemills.com
Kindest regards

Best regards, Craig
Hi Dave

I’ve only now stumbled on this site and you’ll see I’ve written to Paul’s family who have already posted here.

Forgive me if we already know each other as unclear whether you are a Heswallian.

I have written to our old school many times requesting they celebrate past notable pupils and certainly those who died in the service of their country but the school including emails to the current Head, have never responded.

I’m so pleased that finally Paul’s name has been added to a Memorial in Heswall.
V best regards
Grenville
