It is with great sadness that i have to report the passing of my dad, John Robertson. Today June 9th he passed away after a long, hard battle with cancer. He began this site 15 years ago after many years of passion for military history. The site has grown and grown due to his love of helping people find out more about lost relatives.

If you want to send a message to his wife and family, please use the contact us link at the bottom of the page or post in this thread.
The website will continue on in his memory and i will try and update it with photos, information that is sent to us.

Best wishes, Craig Robertson

Very sorry to discover, Craig, that your Dad has passed away. I haven't logged on for a while. However, I greatly appreciate the guidance he gave me as I pieced together the story involving my Uncle, and I'm sure he would have been pleased to know that I eventually uncovered the actual events that were shrouded in mystery for over 70 years. The Roll of Honour is a fantastic body of work which will forever be a fitting tribute to not only those whose details are recorded, but your Dad's dedication to the compilation of the archive for which he will always be remembered. May he rest in peace.

Hi so sad to hear of the death of your father.
I have only recently come across his work when searching about my grandfather James clement Cole

Yes, and it is now 4 years on. He built and developed a great free asset for veterans and serving members and families along with other interested parties and Craig has followed on in his footsteps making it an even greater asset. It is a shame that more members of the forum did not offer condolences at the time. His name will live on through his Son.
