Hi again,
I passed on all of the information to my mum regarding the above named but she did ask what the chances were of someone being buried in one place but having a 'grave' somewhere else. Does any one know if servicemen were actually brought home after being K.I.A. or would they have been buried where they died?
Thanks,
Helen

if US soldier families could request repat. if not buried where they died. some familys may have a local head stone on an empty plot though. I have seen something similar

find out the day he died. cross reference it with 505th history on where they would have been and narrow it down to an area. then find out if he or any were repatriated. if not look for the local cemeteries in that area. basically logical but may take some time

On this website:

Is behind his name that he's burried in USA, New York.
Maybe you can send them an e-mail how they got this information.
