They are Fijians. They were issued US camo tropical uniforms due to the concern that their Khaki uniforms might be mistaken for Japanese uniforms. They also used a mix of Springfield, Garand rifles and Australian Owen SMGs. Probably in Guadalcanal before they deployed to New Georgia island group.
