My wifes uncle, mothers brother. We were fortunate to visit him, sadly in the last of is days, but he was still sharp and did ell us about some of his escapades. A very quiet, unassuming man, you would never guess at his bravery. His funeral was well attended and supported by the military, even a pipe band. Gave us some indication of the respect he was held in.
