CITATION:
Military Medal : L/Cpl KENNY was with a platoon of C Company 3 PARA which was pinned down by accurate MG and Mortar fire. When his platoon commander was hit and wounded out in an exposed position he and another NCO ran out under heavy fire and brought him into a position of shelter. Throughout the action he set a fine example of coolness and leadership and when other NCOs were hit he took over and led his party to. safety. This young NCO showed a sense of responsibility and courage well beyond that required in the normal course of duty.
