Vincent Sandford MacCausland

I am from Tyne Valley where Vincent is from. I had no idea about him (for some reason) even though all the boys were in lancasters including mu uncles. Nobody knoew about what he did. If you look at Wikipedia under "tyne Valley" he is not even mentioned. I found tons of stuff on him on the web though. FYI...the "Dam Busters" remake is coming out by the director of "Lord of the Rings" in 2010.

Freemasons Alexandra Lodge No. 5, Port Hill PEI
Six members of the Lodge served in WWII. Three of those members paid the supreme sacrifice and were honoured with a Memorial Plaque that was placed in the Lodge Room in 1947. The Plaque lists Wing Commander, R. Royden Ings PM, Lieutenant Willard Caseley and Flying Officer Vincent S. MacCausland.

This is a local article about Vincent. How he lived a life as a bullied kid, to a teacher, and to a war hero. I guess because I am still perplexed why my generation-x was not educated about him and that no national or local historians have found this a s a story to gab onto.
