John Alcock went on to serve in 22 SAS in the 1960s and I lived on the base at Bradbury Lines-I had no idea what a opportunity that was at the time. I saw inside the officers mess, a wooden structure, and saw the photographs of the SAS in Malaya on the walls. I had a friend whose father was a Major called Major Norman. He was killed in a helicopter crash in the far east.
