I was at the Royal Armouries in Leeds at the weekend. In the shop there is a copy of the diary available for you to have a look through.
If you want to do some detailed research probably best to buy a copy but if you want to have a quick look through Leeds is your place.

I understand he may have been an officer in 1 SAS and maybe in SOE? Also why stationed in Syria (Cheka?)
