CITATION:

Military Cross : From 24 March 1945 to 3 May 1945 Capt. Beverley has been in command of a troop of Jeeps which acted as forward reconnaissance to many different formations in the advance from the RHINE until the cessation of hostilities. In many actions with the enemy this officer has always commanded his troop with the utmost coolness and judgment. His personal courage and leadership under fire has inspired all those under his Command to press forward. In August and September Capt. Beverley was in command of a small detachment which was dropped by parachute behind the enemy lines in the area of NANCY (FRANCE). Throughout this operation this officer once more showed himself to be a fine leader with a continual desire to take offensive action against the enemy.

At all times Capt. Beverley's bearing and courage in action has been of an exceptionally high order.
