HISTORY formed 1.9.1943 personnel originally from 5th,14th and 33rd Infantry Regiments HQ 1 Battalion (Red and White Combat Teams) 2 Battalion (Blue and Green Combat Teams) 3 Battalion (Orange and Khaki Combat Teams) 31st Quartermaster Pack Troop 33rd Quartermaster Pack Troop disbanded 10.8.1944 personnel integrated into 475th Infantry (disbanded 1.7.1945) 475th redesignated 75th Infantry 21.6.1954 (the forerunner of the present day 75th Ranger Regiment) note on awards section Most of the men in Roll of Honour had awards so I have only included survivors in this section. It has been reported that all Merrill's Marauders received the Bronze Star. | ||||
